20 years ago I was laready saying that in every school building every administrator should be a classroom one day a week - to relearn what kids and learning actually look like..Not what the State and Federal Regs require. Also PE, Art, Music,Tech, etc. should have TeamTeaching in integrated courses. All classes from K-12 must showcase the skills of each student in ways determined in small groups of students and teachers. Small groups should be include students at different levels of proficiency - each group member shares and everyone learns!

All the schools around here are still closed right now, but I think there's a lot of learning that can be done in the remote setting as well--definitely takes a shift in thinking and in presentation though! Thank you for all that you do!

What is the use of rote learning if you do not know how to apply it to your lifeskills? What is the use of educations if you cannot adapt to the real world? We actually need a school to teach this. But yes school is the foundation of society.

In reply to Paolo Paolo. It's a huge shift, but there is a lot of opportunity right now in remote learning that can help us expand our understanding of what learning includes. For some students, remote learning has actually been a useful experience that has helped them shine, as they were feeling shy or stressed in person. Let's work together to find growth, innovation, and connection in every situation!
